Can’t create a project which has the same slug as a removed project?

step

  • First, remove a project which slug is test1
  • Second, change another project’s slug to test1 failed

env

  • Sentry 9.0.0
  • onpremise

why i do it?

I remove a project and recreate it, Because sometimes i want to clear test data.

You can. Just we defer deletion by 1 hour and the deletion itself takes some time.

We really need to change this though so the project that is marked for deletion gets the slug renamed immediately, so it can be reclaimed sooner.

Where can I reclaim a project which has been removed and postponed to delete?

After 8+ hours of deletion wrong original project (for ex. ‘frontend’) I still can’t rename recreated project (‘frontend-4f’) to ‘frontend’. The message is ‘Another project (frontend) is already using that slug’. Is there a specific time-to-live setting in Sentry itself?

I’m also encountering the issue, having deleted and now trying to recreate the project again, I’ve been waiting several hours in order to be able to reuse the old slug.
