Adding owners to a project programatically

Hey guys, we love the product and really enjoy the “owners” feature however adding it for each path manually is somewhat excruciating. We were wondering if it’s possible or will it be possible to basically define owners via API. That way we would be able to add owners programmatically in our deployment process.
