Sentry’s SaaS environment experienced an incident on January 12, 2021. The root cause was that our group.id crossed over int32, which was fine, but a few tables that reference group_id as a foreign key were regular integer, so writes to those tables failed, and we had to ALTER to upsize them. Self-hosted users will pick up this migration in due course, though unless you are getting near 2.1 billion groups, this is a non issue.
