I’ve used Sentry for the last few months. Most of my events created are from my dev system and I might get 5-10 events from prod per month.
Today I received a note saying that my event quote had been exceeded. Sure enough, I’d done something stupid on an email generator and generated 5,000 emails all with the same issue.
I have spike protection turned on though. These were all in the same minute. What is spike protection supposed to do if it isn’t to protect me from doing something stupid like that?
Now Sentry is turned off for the rest of the month!
