Feedback when accessing settings page as regular user

I’m not sure about the best place to request this – I can create a GitHub issue with a feature request if you’d like.

When I try to access a repo’s setting page (https://sentry.io/<org>/<project>/settings/plugins/) as a regular user (a non-owner), I get redirected to https://sentry.io/<org>/ without any indication that I lack permission to do so.

I think it would make sense to have some sort of feedback when this happens, that lets me know that I tried to access a page for which I lack permission. Thoughts?

Hi @elijahandrews.

Yeah, we’re a bit sketchy around things like this in terms of UX. We probably should do something like that though. I guess it doesn’t come up that often because usually people don’t even see the links to those pages to ever hit that case. So this only really happens if someone gives you a direct link or whatever.

Off the top of my head, not entirely sure how easy it’ll be to handle this, it might not be too hard.
